Frequently asked questions

FAQs

How do I book a session with you?

Head over to the contact page, send me a message and let me know what kind of photoshoot you desire and any details you think might be important for me to know. Then we can chat and make sure we are a good fit. We can even go for a coffee if you would like to meet face to face and you live around the Goldie. You can tell me about your vision for your shooting, your preferred date and I’ll answer any questions you might have. Once you’ve decided I’m the one for you, I require a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your session along with a signed contract.

What time of day do you prefer to shoot?

My favorite time of day to shoot is golden hour and blue hour which is about an hour before and after sunset or about half an hour before and after sunrise.

Do you photoshop me at all?

I will edit out any blemishes and lightly whiten your teeth if you would like me to, but I do not do any body modifications as I believe in your natural beauty. I will also edit out small things from a photo such as people walking in the background or anything that is distracting in the photo.

Will you pick out the location of the photo shoot?

This is completely up to you! If you have a location in mind you really love I am more than happy to shoot there with you. I suggest picking a location that means something to you as this will make you feel more comfortable from the start. I’ll check out the location beforehand to make sure that we will have enough light to create some magical photos together. If you don’t have a spot in mind - don’t worry! I always have some locations in my head and will make sure that it suits your photo shoot.

How do you deliver the photos?

I use a platform called ShootProof which allows me to send you a high resolution online gallery which you can use to mark and download your favorite photos and send them to all your family and friends.

What should I/we wear?

For me it’s most important that you feel comfortable! I want you to be yourself as this will make it much easier to enjoy the photo shoot. I always suggest neutral colors (I’m a huuuge lover of linen clothing, earthy tones and hats!) and outfits that compliment each other and the environment since bright colors and patterns can be quiet distracting. This factor plays a huge role in how the final photos will look but most of all I want you to look like yourself and your style is reflecting in your session. If you are tossing up between outfits, feel free to send me through some pictures and I am more than happy to assist you finding the best choice for the shoot.

I also offer a small client wardrobe and I am super excited that I have partnered with Alice from Mama Rentals. They have an extensive range of the most beautiful gowns I am sure you will LOVE! Once you have booked your session and the deposit is paid you will receive a code for 15% off!

What happens if the weather forecast is looking bad?

You don’t need necessarily the perfect golden hour light to create some magical photos. Clouds can look moody & calm and a little bit of wind creates some natural movements which I am a big fan of! However, if the forecast is predicting rain or strong winds I will contact you to reschedule our shooting.
